student led discusion

last Friday my school had a 50Th jubilee this means it has been open for 50 years, it was boring but fun plus very uncomfortable because we sat on a hard ground for 2 and 1/2 hours I was so annoying because you had to sit still and not fidget talk or anything like that but it was all for a good cause though and I think our school did really well because we had really good feed back from the visitors.we also had a powhiri

people talked about the past of our school and what it first looked like and what the uniforms looked like and the first ever assembly that was held right on the Field that I play on but of course the grass was much longer then and the field was probably all uneven and it turns out that one of the teachers here at my school hs been here for 18 years.we sung the national anthum and two other old songs.

when the whole talking and congratulating was over we left the gym and got into our sections becuse we were going to do a moari haka that purple house had tort us, we practiced for weeks over and over again it was to bless our statue a man carved it.It is called mania it bueatiful and its all about i you have anger you go and sit in it and it will take it all away.

The man started talking and blessing and the sheets got pulled away and that's when we started singing the haka and when we saw the statue for the first time . I was so amazed at how beautiful it was there is carvings on the side that meant stuff. There was also three stalks a circle ring and a handle shaped thing on the side it is all very nice.

after the sculpture was unveiled and the sculpture was blessed all the guest had left we all went and sat down under a tree for the shade. we got to get two free sausages from the sausage sizzle and we got to eat and then go off and play.

over all it was OK and kind of exciting plus its good that it is over and done with.

the aquatic fun

Last Friday we went to the aquatic centre,

we arrived at the Aquatic centre instead of going to school first,Oh and the reason we were going to there was because we won this school competition. Any way it was fun.
we sat on wooden seats and waited until we could go in to the water.
I ran off and got changed while the life guards were setting up the rocket, After I was changed I ran and jumped in the water I was swimming and playing with my friends we were having water fights and having two on two wrestling it was really fun.

we could also get out and go on the playground when ever we liked , plus there were vending machines so we could get really yummy lollies. we also had a class prize giving. Each teacher could give out 8 awards. I didn't get one but that doesn't matter. When that was over I went back into the pool and this time I had a go on the rocket with my friend, we went on it once and it was so fun we went a 2ND a 3rd a 4Th a 5Th and even a 6Th time it was so fun I made it twice right to the end with out falling .

I got tired of swimming so I hoped out and sat in the sun with my three friends and we went and my friends and I were talking and all of a sudden my bikini bra clip snapped and I had to tie in a knot put a shirt on it was so shame but I got over it. Then my teachers hoped in the pull while I laid my towel out to dry,Ad then I sprinted down the wooden steps again and launched my self into the water and started to play tiggiy.

Over all that day was mint except for the fact that I forgot to put sunblock on and I got burnt on the face but its not there any more. when it was time to go we went to the front of the Aquatic centre and waited for our mums our dads to come.

Differences Between a Personal Recount and a Factual Recount

...Differences...

The diffrence between a personal and factual recount is that the in the personal recount the writter is involved the are writting about somthing that they have done or been involved in the story is like a jurnal or a diary just like if your saying to your friends what you did in the weekend, But with a factual recount the story is about history or news somthing isn't to do with the writter.

my holiday recount

On the last week of the holidays on the Thursday I asked my mum if could get a pet Guinea pig or a bird she replied with a definite "no" but i wouldn't budge "please mum please" but then she said talk to your dad, he wasn't very happy when i asked him so, i talked extremely fast so in the end he said whatever ask your mother. So then ran up the hallway again and i said to mum that dad doesn't mind. She looked at me with her mad face on and then she smiled and said all right then we will go to the pet shop tomorrow to see what options we have by the the way this was late at night so I went straight to bed to kill the time of waiting. My alarm went off early the next morning mum was already awake and so was my sister when I got dressed mum hoped in the car and turned the key and the car started I raced out side and jumped in the back seat and then we drove through town to drop off some letters that needed to be posted. We begun heading for the pet shop at this time I was so excited we pulled in the drive for the pet shop we parked the car and me and my sister practically through our selves out of the car and raced in side I went to look at the birds first. Some of them were really cute but really expensive so they were out of the picture. I left the bird room and slowly made my way to the aquarium part of the store I had a good look around then I saw the turtle but then I saw the price, So they were out of the picture but then I looked at the ginea pigs there was a gorgueos one, so I asked if I could please hold the cute little one so she pulled it out of its cage and I held it then I said to my mum this is the one I want so then mum brought and that made my day and my holiday!!

my swoop fun

Well, it all started with b2 coming to school extremely early well not that early about 15 to 8 but not all of b2 came because some of us were sick. when the bus arrived at the school Matua called us in and begun to call out the roll. When your name was called you could then go and take your seat on the bus as soon as everybody got on the bus we then left the school and went to the Agrodome for the sheep show. We had to wait for a little while until it was time to enter into the sheep show stadium, we all took our seats and waited patiently. the show began when everybody was seated. The show was fun and interesting.It went on for a while but we all loved it.But as soon as you Know it it was over. We left the stadium and went to go sit down to have a quick meal. After that we left to go to the Agroventures we slowly made our way there while looking at the sites to be seen. when we arrived at the Agroventures office matua told us to sort our selves into three's they would be the people you would do the swoop with we lined up and waited for your turn to come My friends and I were probablythe 6th pair to go. When our turn came we had to diside who would pull the rope up the top when your 40 meters above the ground both of my friends didn't want to so i said I would. We hoped into the sacks and the zips were done up and then the crane slowly pulled us up we got to the top and theintructor down the bottom told me to pull the rope I yaked it really hard and nothing happend so i did it a second time and then it happend my stomach raced into my head and I screamedw swand back and forth with my and my friends screaming we had so much fun!!!!
